These notebooks are great. Compact size is useful in your pocketbook. Durable and great for journaling or just taking notes. I haven't found anything better.

A Moleskine Journal or one of similar size has resided in my purse for years. These in this set of three have allowed me to lighten the weight while retaining the convenience. As indicated below, now other colors are available, so if you want another for sketching or for another subject, you can keep them easy to recognize. There are many styles of Moleskines to match to ones own needs and preferences -- I just find them a pleasure to use and retain.

I bought a set of these notebooks a year or so ago. I don't write extremely often, but I have found a diverse amount of things to write about in them. They are a great way to keep track of stray thoughts and ideas which would otherwise be lost. These are each thin enough to be kept in a pocket easily, and I love the inner pocket. My only complaint is that these are soft cover, but that's what the standard ruled journal is for. These are more for small size, and they perform brilliantly. However, possibly due to the acid-free paper, my Pilot G-2 pens seem to have some difficulty writing on them. These pens work fine upon standard notebook paper, but their ink flow stutters every few lines in the Moleskine notebooks. I am willing to switch pens, however.

I've used these for awhile and love that they fit into a small bag so easily. The tear out pages in the back come in handy more often than I would have thought! I bought these for my husband and he loves them too. They fit into a jacket pocket which makes them easy to have whenever he needs them.

The binding and the book itself, hold together as well as anything I've ever used. I'm on my 7th one of these--using them as both a journal and a free-writing pad, and I love the size, the utilitarian nature, and it's continued durability.

Initially purchased wanting to emulate the likes of Hemingway, I now find that I can't be without one in my back pocket. They are addictive!

This journal set is fabulous. I love having a little notebook I can carry in my purse to make notes about everything under the sun. In the bookstore, I've even made note of titles I'm interested in so I can see if they're available at the library. I also have a reference list for the state quarters - as we're collecting both Philly & Denver mint quarters separately! Now when I get change someplace, I can check my list to see if I need any of the state quarters.
