FROM RUSSIA, WITH. ?

When Agent Gaby Bernard finally gets a chance to leave FBI headquarters for the field she is almost as excited by her intriguing partner as by the high profile assignment she has wrangled or the exotic murder mystery they are sent to solve. But the apparent killer is an assassin also sought by the Russian Mafia and the killing seems to be part of a decades-old international conspiracy of plunder and assassination dating back to the fall of the Soviet Union. The situation soon spirals out of control, leaving Gaby in big trouble with Washington and in far more serious trouble with the mob.

A rookie's excitement is a bane more than a boon when dealing with the Russian mob and assassins. "The Molotov Box" tells the story of Agent Gaby Bernard and her first field assignment working with the FBI. Faced with a mysterious murder and the enigmatic assailant, she and her partner soon ram heads with the Russian mob and their decades long conspiracy. A nonstop page turner, "The Molotov Box" is quite the read.

I actually heard about this book from the author's spouse, a work acquaintance. A bit skeptical, my love of suspense won out. I was very pleasantly surprised & being a native Memphian, loved the Memphis connections in the book. My one issue, though, are the grammatical errors. I purchased the E-book for my Nook. I don't know how they "transfer" from hard copy to electronic format, but misplaced quotation marks, periods, etc. & skipped page numbers left me wanting to pull out my red marker. Eagerly looking forward to the next one! Will proofread for FREE!! Overall, a 5-star book, 4-stars for the proof-reader. ;)
