This story is a sad reminder that there are incredible lows in our lives. Seeing our parents fail is one of them. I've walked in the narrator's shoes when it was time for my own mother to go into assisted living, so I know that this story rings true on so many levels. I felt so along during that awful time, and knowing that others have felt the same somehow brings comfort.
