“Tyson No No! I told you to paint on the paper, not mommies’ book! Give me the paint brush…Thank you. Here’s your motorcycle, you can play with that. ”
Sorry about that! Don’t worry I managed to catch him before he got to the rest of the book. The stories inside should still be legible. That’s my baby Tyson; I can’t promise you that he won’t interrupt you here and there throughout the book. I’ll try to keep him quite while you read, but he’s an active boy as you can see by the damage on this book…
Which reminds me… I’ve collected a handful of amazing true comical stories from mothers and fathers about their young ones and their antics that I want to share with you. I hope this book either prepares you for what you’re in for, if your little one is yet to arrive. Or, comforts you because you’ll realize that you’re not the only mommy who gets completely knocked off of your feet by the things your child says or does. This book is intended to show you humor in situations that might not be so humorous if you’re the parent. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I’ve enjoyed collecting them. Go ahead and get started, Tyson and I will catch up with you to see how the reading is going. But first, I need to figure out how I am going to get this paint out of my carpet…

This book is packed with lots of very different....very funny and lighthearted stories about motherhood. I think that this book is perfect for all moms of all ages, and even moms to be. This is a full frontal approach to parenting that is hilarious. I really, really enjoyed this writing style and was totally impressed with the humor throughout the book. Definitely deserving of five stars.
"Mommies' Precious Moments" is a book of short anecdotes from real moms about their experiences with motherhood--the sweet, the scary, the gross, and more. The book itself is narrated by the author, who interjects her own comments and stories throughout, many of which focus on her rambunctious son, Tyson. This book will likely make women who already have children chuckle, and may make those who haven't yet been initiated into motherhood alternately cringe in fear and smile at the adventure having a child really is. Some of the incidents shared? A child who is a Picasso with his own poop...a toddler who accidentally sets a house on fire...a mom who's driven to the edge by her daughter's tantrum in a store and just as quickly melts at her daughter's innocent sweetness...scary moments having to do with electric shocks and swimming pools...and more. "Mommies' Precious Moments" promises to give its readers the real stories about motherhood, the ones no one ever tells you, and it does! But the tone of the book is one of gentle joy, and I doubt anyone could read this and not get the feeling that all of these mothers are overjoyed to have their children in their lives, no matter what hijinks those children get up to. Recommended for moms who already have children, moms to be, and women who are thinking about becoming mothers in the future!
All moms can relate to this funny and witty book packed with hilarious, and often time embarrassing stories. Us moms have stories to tell! This is a fun book full of true mom stories that had me laughing so hard I had tears streaming down my face. A very enjoyable read, that will have you reminiscing the funny mommy moments you've experienced. I enjoyed the short stories, I could read just 1 or 2 at a time here and there. Short spurts of laughter throughout the day does a soul good!
