Mommy Can't You See..., His EYES Are Always On Me! [NOOK Book]

Overview

This book is a recollection of a child’s memory, based on a true story of a child's disturbing abuse, mine.

Writing has been self healing for me. I am sharing my story for the first time, hopefully to inspire other victims to be brave enough to face their demons and to write it all down.

About the Author

My books are written from the heart.

I hope by sharing my stories they will help to inspire people to be the best that they can be.

I will be happy if my books touch even one life

Regardless of your situation, it is entirely up to you how you chose to live the rest of your life.

First you have to accept that if you were a victim as a child or an adult, as hard as it is, you have to let go of the hatred.

You have two choices in life.

Choose to be miserable and continue the cycle of abuse and ruin not only your own, but other people’s lives.

OR

Choose to do the exact opposite. Treat everyone with respect and kindness, just the way you wished you would have been treated.

I feel like I must always be on guard, but over the years have learned to trust and love.

My advice is to be very careful and selective of whom you chose to surround yourself and your loved ones with.

Never ever lose your sense of humor.

I start every day with a smile. First thing in the morning I smile to myself in the mirror and then I smile at everyone I meet daily. A smile is free and brings a little bit of much needed joy into life.

You will be surprised how many people’s day you can make a little bit brighter just by the moment you take to share a smile.

Go out and share a smile and maybe even a laugh today. You will be amazed at how happy it makes you feel inside. I love to share smiles and I love to laugh.

May God Bless You All!

    Highly Recommended

This book shares a journey back to a childhood's memory of abuse. Although there are lighthearted moments throughout the book, most of the scenes portrayed are disturbing, yet keep you wanting to read more. The ending leads me to believe that there will be a sequel to this book. At least I hope so. I commend and thank the author for having the courage to share her story.

    Addressing history

This is a book that documents the author's real-life childhood trauma. Telling her story serves the purpose of revealing, rather than concealing, the reality of universal human experience. I hope that readers will allow themselves to feel the pain they will feel as the author's experience resonates with their own.

Who among us didn't have physical, emotional, and/or sexual violence against us in our childhood? If we honestly answer this tough question, then we can get to how we individually address our history, our reality, in a way that helps us. If we turn portions of our reality into a fantasy, as the author did and so many authors do, how does that really help?

I applaud the author's effort, and hope that others will also write an autobiographical work that documents their personal feelings.
