Interesting stories, lacking a concrete plan

This book has lots of stories about parent problems during training - some are really extreme. I just want a good, solid how-to guide, but this didn't fit the bill.

    Expect Success

What is nice about this book is that it teaches you to expect success while getting children to expect the same. It's the old saying, Expect your children to act the way you want - and they do.' Another book that helped on potty training and as well as many other things we will go through is Mommy-CEO, revised edition. Both books are awesome.

Learn to be calm and firm

This book offered solid advice on how to guide the stubborn toddler by helping them feel that they're involved, how to maintain a positive atmosphere, and how to be your child's guide to becoming diaper free. I'm not there yet, and my pages are dog eared, and this book is helping me watch my language from 'Gee, do you think you need to go?' to 'All right, it's time to practice.' The book also stresses to remember that the actual act is up to the child, and to respect that.

I wish I had this book with my first child!

This book was excellent in dealing with every type of problem you might confront while potty-training your child. It has been very helpful and I wish that I had known about this book when potty-training my first child. It would have saved us a lot of frustration and tears. I highly recommend this book to anyone that feels a little overwhelmed at the whole aspect of toilet training.
