    A disappointment

This book was a disappointment. The first section of the book is a rehashing of Dave Ramsey’s financial methods. The other ‘tips’ provided can be found the author’s blog. The author writes in a conversational style which makes the content very simple to understand but occasionally slips into a pompous lecturing tone. The book contained several typographical errors, chronic misuse of explanation points and dozens of plugs for the author’s blog. I am even more disappointed that the first reviews of this book were written by other ‘frugal bloggers’ (receivers of advanced copies) that I feel did not provide honest book reviews. While the book does provide valuable information regarding de-cluttering, budgeting, saving money, etc; it is reads more like a very long self promoting blog post.

    A Must-Have Book for Everybody!

I really wish I had this book when my husband and I first got married, at the very least when I had my 1st child. This book is the most complete, frugal minded book I have ever read before! It's everything you need to know all in one place! Although I didn't find out any new information, it would've saved me hours and days of research (and not to mention plenty of money!) if I had found this book many years ago! I just love how the author talks about clutter, yes in a budgeting book! How many times have you had a dirty kitchen and decided to just eat out? Or how many times have you misplaced something that you really needed just to got out and buy another one and then the next day found the one you already owned? I would often get sad over a cluttered house and want to just get away from it and go out for the day to get away from the overwhelming clutter monster! Money saving is 95% behavior and 5% head knowledge. You can't change your money if you don't change your bad habits (behavior)! I would go as far as to even recommend high school seniors to read this book in order to start their life out right! I can't praise this book enough, it's amazing! The author writes in a warm and informative way, without being harsh and degrading. The only thing I can't get over is how she has NEVER had a credit card! WOW is all I can say! I wish I could say that! I highly recommend this book to everybody, young, old, male, female!

    Highly Recommended -check it out!

I loved this book! Simple practical advice on cutting debt and sticking to a budget. And all this while finding happiness regardless of your circumstances. I have read Crystal's blog for over a year but found a lot if new information in the book. On top of it all for an author to donate 100% of their proceeds to Compassion Hope is amazing and completely selfless. What an inspiration!!!! One of the very few books I have purchased new in a long time.
