Don't Crocodiles eat monkeys? Or can they be friends? Find out now, Your kids will love it.

WOW! Will Terry sure knows how to use color. His use color and composition is fantastic. The illustrations are simple yet striking and beautiful.

This book is way cute, it is my daughter's favorite X-mas gift. She won't stop reading it, unless she gets someone else to read it to her. She keeps bringing it to her siblings and puts it in there lap to read it, she is 5 years old, and starting to read. I am sure we will buy any "Monkey and Croc" books that come out in the future and we hope the a lot of them do.

I googled Will Terry illustrator, and I have to say, "We have found ourselves a favorite children's book illustrator, WOW, his paintings are all fabulous.

la Vecchia Volpe, Proud father of 2 and a half dozen children,
thats 2 girls and a half dozen boys.
PS my 4 year old nephew and my 8 year old son love this book too.

    My appologies

    I'm the author/illustrator

To those who think this book is too simple- I'm sorry- when I uploaded it b&n didn't have a category for toddlers so I had to go 3-5.

To those who have complaints about the formatting -again I'm sorry- b&n would not release the sdk software for me to be able to make it auto rotate for iPad kindle nook etc. I love b&n for allowing me to sell my ebooks but they made some poor decisions with this site. In the end I'm taking the blame for their mistakes.

    Simple words and cute story

I liked to read this book to my 2.5 year old. The words are simple and repetitive.

The monkey and crocodile are both doing the same things and work towards the same goal, even though they do not notice each other. Then they both fall down and decide to share the bananas.

The words are repetitive. For example, "the monkey climbed the tree", "the croc climbed the tree", and so on. The last page has no words, but it is obvious that they are happily sharing the bananas.

It a good and short sharing story for young kids under 4 and toddlers.

A++ Another Great book by Will Terry

This short book packs a big punch of fun for you and your family, as your kids laugh at the story as it unfolds, you will be captivated by the beautiful art on each page.

Written and Illustrated by Will Terry, "Monkey and Croc" delivers subtle humor, and spread after spread of Wills unique take on the jungle. His color and composition are great, and he keeps the panoramas coming page after page in this book.

Although the story and writing are quite simple... its the simple irony and the way each page leads into the next that keep the family reading it again and again. Priced at 2.99 for the Nook, You won't think twice about the purchase. Such quality work isn't often found at that pricepoint.

My own children had a lot of fun reading it on the nook this christmas. I enjoyed watching my oldest son (7 yrs old) try and explain to my younger son (5 yrs old) how the monkey might get eaten, because crocodiles eat monkeys in the wild... I didn't expect them to want to read it over and over though.
I think that "Monkey and Croc," is a great addition to your electronic book collection. You will enjoy the story, and enjoy the art with this cute children's book.

    Boring

My 5 year old found this book to be "no fun". I am sure the illustrations are winderful, but on the nook color they appear very tiny. Not even worth .99!

    Nanna who reads alot!

This is a great book, it gives wonderful opportunities to interject with your own views on the lessons in the story. I had no issues with the format, I locked the rotation on my Nook Tablet and got full page pictures and story. WELL WORTH the 99 cents!

My son loves this cute little story.

My son loves to read this story in addition to his books before bedtime. My only complaint is we have to read it sideways because if I turn my phone horizontally, it makes the pictures very small. Not sure how it works on a real Nook reader.

    Technical problems

This book was very hard to read because it kept wanting to switch to the wrong orientation for the way we were holding the tablet. So we never made it very far on the actual story.

    Best kids book!

Both of my kids love this book, (2 yrs and 5 years old). The pictures and words are great even on my 1st edition Nook in black and white. I hope this author writes more Nook books. It is so worth it and more. You have to have this Nook book!

    Save your .99 cents!

I bought this book for .99 cents and wished I had not wasted the money. My 3 year old was very disappointed with the story line, as was I. This story is best for kids under 2 years old (if you can stand reading it more than once).

    disappointed

Cute pictures. Boring text and plot. It is definitely for toddlers. I had purchased it for kindergarteners and was very disappointed.
