Overview

When hunters from around the world gather in Las Vegas for a conference, a creature left over from a World War Two weapons experiment wakes up and goes on a rampage across the desert. A not-so-friendly wager between the rival companies turns into a race to see who can bag the mysterious creature first.

Only there is far more to this particular case than meets the eye, and as Hunters fall prey to their worst nightmares, Owen Zastava Pitt and the staff of Monster Hunter International have to stop an ancient god from turning Sin City into a literal hell on earth.

Meet the Author

Larry Correia is hopelessly addicted to two things: guns and B-horror movies. He lists his occupations: gun dealer, firearms instructor, accountant, and writer, and is part owner of FBMG (Fuzzy Bunny Movie Guns) a company specializing in firearms and movie props. He shoots competitively and is a certified concealed weapons instructor. Larry resides in Utah with his very patient wife and family. He has also designed a special patch for the agents of Monster Hunter International, Inc. As he puts it, "If you don't look good while you're killing stuff, then you're not really a monster hunter.

Larry Correia continues the over the top action-packed monster hunter series in the 4th book in the series. If you haven't read the first three I would definitely recommend those as well. Between the very detailed weaponry descriptions (I'll admit I don't have much knowledge of the guns that are mentioned, but author is descriptive enough to where I can image one in front of me) and the witty one liner, yea, I have laughed out loud, author crafts a nicely paced, entertaining ride through supernatural bounty hunting. Mr. Correia has taken the time to research a wide variety of cultural and folklore monsters, from chupacabras to Cthulhu to fish people of the deep. Anything is free game to hunt. Read these books, you will not be disappointed.

Another great one in the Owen Zastava Pitt saga. Las Vegas, a talking dragon, a Hind-piloting Orc, and all the weaponry you would expect from Mr. Correia.

This is a great series, even if you're not into guns you'll like it, if you ARE into guns you will appreciate it all the more. Can't wait for the next one.

Read the frist three, this is so awsome. I never read a book from a guys pov but this is like reading a action movie and it works.

Another incredible adventure for the Monster Hunters. The only downside is the 5th book isn't available yet. Still, there is enough action, firepower, and beasts of legend here to keep you going for at least 2-3 readings until it comes out.
