    Monstrous Manual

The Monstrous Manual has to be one of the classic necessities for the ADnD game. Now, people will scoff at me at this point... *Waits*... Because they say 'Not true! All you need is the PHB!'. Wrong. I am a player. As well as a minor DM. If you're going to play the game, chances are, you /have/ to own the PHB. But, don't stop there. Sneak behind your DM's back, and buy the MM. Trust me. DMs, naturally, /have/ to own the PHB, and DMG, according to some. But you should own the MM, and...Well, in order to own the edge, a few MCs. It's a war to keep the edge, and the MM is a priceless addition to the DM that has clueless players, the savvy PC, or the DM that wants to throw tanar'ri at his characters, regardless of whether they have the stats on em. (Trust me, if you read this book, you'll know about the godly creatures known as Tanar'ri.) So, in conclusion, this is a Kyre /Must Buy/ rating of 5 for any one that is a DM, a Kyre /Should Buy/ rating of 4 for PCs, and a /Good Buy/ of 2 for any person that is interested in playing ADnD. That's my story, I'm sticking to it. Kyre Rellim, Master of Insanity. Enjoy this review? E-Mail me with comments. Hate it? E-Mail me anyways, and we'll debate.
