About the Author

Jaco Jacobs is the author of more than 260 books and more than a million copies of his books have been sold. His work has been awarded 46 times. His books have been translated into English, Dutch, Italian and Portuguese. He has been nominated for the Carnegie Medal twice and two of his books have been adapted to film. Jaco lives in Bloemfontein with his wife, Elize, their daughters, Mia and Emma, three dogs, a cat and a pet python.
GABI BOY is a qualified teacher and taught in South Africa as well as abroad. In 2012 she started a children's clothing business with a friend, where she fell in love with graphic design. After they sold the company she decided to pursue her love for graphic design and illustration. In 2020 she was one of three winners of an illustration competition which gave her the opportunity to write and illustrate her own children's book for a local publisher. Since then she has had the privilege of illustrating multiple books. Gabi lives in Durbanville with her husband Greg and their daughters Hannah and Lily.
