About the Author

Kayleigh Haisch Walters is a volunteer EMT for the community and surrounding Ray, North Dakota, area. During sixth grade, she started writing and finally discovered reading was fun. Her goal is to write the kind of books that she wanted to read when she was younger while dedicating them to her nieces. She likes writing stories about the creatures that 'go bump in the night' since she always wanted Frankenstein’s Monster, the Creature from the Black Lagoon, the Loch Ness Monster, and many other monsters to be her friends.

Madeline Huisingh, also known as Mads, is an illustrator originally from Michigan. She studied sequential art and illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design. She has a profound love for fantastical stories and bringing lovable characters to life. She is a coffee, plant, and animal enthusiast. She currently lives in Boston, Massachusetts.
