This is a really great pictorial of Universal Studios "monsters" through the years, including Dracula, Frankenstein, the Bride of Frankenstein, and the Wolfman, and many more. Although there are some editorials, I would have enjoyed the book even more if there were more descriptions and commentary throughout.
But it still works great as either a coffee table book or for just fun, informative reading (looking!).
Universal Pictures has always been famous for making the best horror movies of all time, and this book shows why.It is a lavish, beautifully done tribute to the studio and its classic monsters. The photographs-many never published before-are excellent. The loving essays by such notable fans as Rick Baker and John Landis brought back many fond memories of watching these films over and over again on television every Saturday. And there are wonderful tributes to Boris,Bela, and both Lons from their children. This lovely book is a real buff's delight! Sit back and enjoy!
