Florida's climate and seasons are so different from the rest of the country that general gardening books can often misguide readers as to when and what to plant. Since I bought this book, our garden has improved! I use the vegetable garden section heavily, especially the charts that tell you when to plant. This has worked out very well for us. We no longer try to plant a summer vegetable garden like the rest of the country because Florida's summer heat burns it up. We plant our vegetable garden in the cooler months and it does beautifully now. And the section on citrus has been particularly helpful, too. This is a must have book for the Florida gardener.
This is a great resource for anyone gardening in Florida. Tom Maccubbin is awesome and always has time to answer questions from Florida gardeners. Great gift as well for the Florida gardener in your life.
