    This book is a celebration of the real America, the one of my childhood, and one that seems to be coming back now, where people go out for Sundaes to mark occasions or just because they feel good. You'll find lots on interesting and unusual things about history in it, and recipes you didn't think existed any more. My husband who is from New York says he wants to make the Butterscotch sauce that used to be on Schrafft's sundaes, and I saw one from Blum's in San Francisco that I remembered well. My son gave me this book for Mother's Day, and it really was a good gift.
