Editorial Reviews

Susan Ruggles
Mrs. White writes the most exquisite romance with true historical facts, carefully researched. Reading one of her books is never enough! I am collecting the entire series, from Moon of the Falling Leaves, Moon of Ripening too this newest offering, Moon of Hard Winter.

These stories are rich in lore, and depict the era so closely you feel transported through time. Her work has been called a masterpiece, glorious prose' and many other wonderful things...all true!

Meet the Author

I write romance in both contemporary and historical generes. My favorite theme is Native American Historicals. Probably because my late husband was a romantic, heart-stopping handsome Chickasaw mixed blood with the bluest eyes ever...

Living in the midwest gives me many opportunitites to find things to write about in the Western and Native American genre.

I write from the heart and when someone says they enjoy my books, I am amply rewarded for doing somthing that is a joy to my heart: Writing stories.

Best yet in the Lakota Moon Series - Much more than a romance.

I read this book straight through. Could not put it down. John Six Feathers is a hero of many facets. His deference to his parents shows his mature and steady nature, and his love for Faith Donahey eqally so. He is constant in his regard for his people, serious in his need to shield them from harm. The Wounded Knee Massaacre is dealt with in a realistic way by this author, who takes the book way beyond romance and time travel. Mrs. White explores the prequel to the horrible incident with an eye to historical fact that is exacting and honors the Lakota who died there. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves history and wants truth in their reading, great character presentation and a terrific plot. Beth Sears

    Absolutely a MUST READ!!!

This book grabbed me and held on from the first page to the last. The author knows how to capitvate, and her romance is so delicate and interspersed with the story, you feel like you are floating through a mist of lovely prose. And you are. I will be reading the other books in the series. Absolutely a Must Read! Katherine Compton
