I'm not ready for it to end, darn it! I'm so invested in the characters, the story and the setting, I'm bereft now that that I've turned the last page. Janie Dempsey Watts has created a lovely suspenseful drama full of humor and local color. The folks of Taylor's Ridge just pop off the page, especially Avie, Xylie, and Jolene. The side story of Avie's crumbling marriage is handled with amazing sensitivity. This is a book I will think about for a long time. Loved it!
