Only 4 stars today since the first 122 pages we're free...this 122 pages, $2.99..I love the story, but am not thrilled at buying it in sections! I'm very hooked and need to know what happens, but will I? Is there going to be a fourth? Would have preferred tho just bought one "whole" book!

This series feels as if the author had a great idea for one really good book but published three. Like the first, this ending is disappointing and as a reader, I feel cheated of a complete experience.

s, I think it is haunted, but probably not the way you might think. I believe it’s just packed full of mysteries, mysteries it wants to tell. But so far, we haven’t been smart enough to figure them out. I think it is haunted by the sadness of a family who never knew what happened to their daughter; I think it is haunted by the hopelessness of the slaves who lived there, for surely that must have been what they felt. I think it is haunted by the emotions of those who lived there, but do I think ghosts are haunting this place? No, I don’t. I’ve never seen anything that couldn’t be explained some kind of way.” This is the second book in the ongoing serialized Saga of the Seven Sisters: a grand antebellum manor in Mobile Alabama and what is being discovered as it is brought back in all its glory from ruin. I really wasn't planning on getting the second book since the first one was rather lame. However, I found myself wondering what was going to happen, and decided I'd just have to see. CJ is being hunted by her former employee and friend Mia, who insists that Seven Sisters is her birthright, and CJ and Ashland believe she is dangerous. The key CJ now holds will unlock some of the answers that prove whether she's right or wrong. And, I guess I'll have to wait and read the third book to find out. CJ tells us towards the end of this second book: "This wasn’t what I had planned for when I signed on for this project, but here it was. The disappearance of Calpurnia Cottonwood and her fortune wasn’t merely an entertaining story. Discovering the whereabouts of the heiress and her jewels was now my highest priority, above everything else. This had to end, before anyone else died! I thought of all those who had touched this fortune and then died unnaturally. Christine Beaumont Cottonwood, Louis Beaumont, Calpurnia Cottonwood and Hollis Matthews, and who knew who else"

Where Seven Sisters leaves off and ends the same way.The third book isnt out yet. Its a good story keeps you entertained and guessing but leaves you disappointed because you have to wait.I would have gave it five stars had it been complete. My suggestion as with the last review, get all books before you start this. It is a clean decent mystery.I personally appreciate that.
