“If you ever needed inspiration and advice for cultivating your leadership skills as a woman, you will find examples of how to find strength, re-examine priorities, nurture collaboration and find the best path to social, progressive and environmental change.”
“If you have ever wondered why some of us believe that women have the power to change the world or if you have asked yourself why so many women are remarkable and brave leaders (and even in the case that you are skeptical about these claims and want to see some concrete evidence), this is the book for you. Such a rich range of experience is described in these pages, stories of resistance, creativity, and care fueled by a profound sense of connection with the earth, family, neighborhoods, community, and widening circles of common cause. To a war-torn world, beset by poverty, pollution, and global warming, this collection seeds not only hope but also courage by presenting us with so many clear paths to action.”
“May this book filled with the words of women still connected to their heart, in fact, still driven by the passion of its thought, be a guide to others for believing we can think and feel intensely at the same time, finding our way to balance with all that exists.”
“Moonrise gives me the juice to bound forward into the future with hope and excitement.”

Moonrise is a collection of essays from women and men on how leadership in business, politics and society is being influenced by the power of the feminine.
When I read the book straight through I was inspired, moved and motivated at how simple actions and ways of honoring each other can have such great effect on us all.
Since then I have revisited many of the essays as stand-alone thought pieces and continue to be moved to action in my own life as a leader, mother and woman.
A great book

I have been touched by the depth of purpose, vision, and caring of the women who speak through Moonrise. I am grateful that the book includes women of varied races, classes, and nationalities as that inclusivity makes it more empowering to women all over the world. I have recommended this book to many people for its messages of hope, possibility, and responsibility to and for all life on this planet. - Karen
