Overview

Stay out of the woods...the moose are loose and the men are hungry.

Nurse Practitioner Eva Stuart's life is messed-up. She found her fiancé in bed with her best friend Jeremy, which has killed her confidence as a desirable woman and brought her judgment into question when it comes to men. Needing a change of scenery, she leaves Cincinnati behind for the wilds of Alaska and opts for running a medical clinic in a remote town. Her life quickly changes from messed-up to moosed-up as nature takes a stab at her.

Wildlife Refuge Officer Lynx Maiski is big...and hot...and hungry for a mate. He's more than willing to show Eva just how sexy she is. After all, sometimes what a street-smart woman really needs is a forest-smart mountain man. But he's keeping a secret that seems destined to ruin his chances at love.

Soon they are dealing with small town interference, a sun that refuses to set, deadly poachers, out of control lust, and a matchmaking moose on the loose.

A Peek Inside:
Eva caught her breath at the predatory look in Lynx’s eyes.

He’d gone from perplexed, to worry, to decision. And his decision had gooseflesh rising up all over her body.

He stood at the end of the bed and never broke eye contact. Sprawled on the blankets, she didn’t breathe as he untied his boots and toed them off. She wanted to smooth the skirt down her legs from where it was bunched, but was almost afraid to move, worried that if she did, he’d pounce. She thought she’d been ready to be taken, but by the sweet, thoughtful man who had brought her chocolate, and picked her wildflowers.

This man was someone different.

Wild, hot, unpredictable, and looking a lot like the feral arc¬tic cat he was named after. He was so far out of her realm of experience, for the first time in her life she didn’t know what to do.

"Alaska's answer to Janet Evanovich!" ~Pat Ansdem.

"If you like Janet Evanovich and Northern Exposure you'll like this book. Eve is a nurse practitioner who's come to Alaska after losing her boyfriend to another man. With a moose on the loose decked out in Eve's bra and a hunky forest ranger who just might be able to talk to animals this book has great characters, humor and mystery. To me that's a great combination." ~Goodreads Reviewer

"I'm not sure how many times I was snickering to myself in bed. Tiffinie has entwined humor, and suspense throughout this romance, as well as a smokin hot bedroom scene that will surely melt those ice caps of those Alaskan mountain tops." ~ Amazon Reviewer

"An adorable romance between a feisty woman and a hardheaded man...the kind I love. You will not only fall in love with Tiffinie's characters, you will also fall in love with her descriptions of their surroundings. She easily takes you to another place and keeps your attention! Looking forward to many many more Wild Men of Alaska books!" ~ Amazon Reviewer

Within the first few pages I was giggling with this story.

It's witty, humorous, has wonderfully delivered characters and had me intrigued with the beautiful and deadly Alaskan country that Tiffinie has put forth.

I'm not sure how many times I was snickering to myself in bed. Tiffinie has entwined humour, and suspense throughout this romance, as well as a smokin hot bedroom scene that will surely melt those ice caps of those Alaskan mountain tops.

The romance was smokin - ** waggles eyebrows ** the storyline was intriguing, even the banter between Lynx and Eva had me sheepishly grinning. The chemistry between the two characters was evident and also kept me gunning for Lynx !

Lynx - now don't get me started - with Tiffinie's vivid descriptions I must say If Eva hadn't snatched him up... I surely would've had yet another book boyfriend!! lol. If I had an unlit fire Im sure that Lynx could set it on fire ! ** snickers ** YEAH HE IS HOT !

I enjoyed Eva's character - her antics and banter amused me - yet her strength was also one of her assets !

Moosed up - will have you sheepishly giggling where ever you may be reading - your reader in frenzy in other sections and overall sigh at the ending! All aspects of this story have been well put forth giving the reader everything one could want in a read. A sexy story filled with a little danger and few giggles added to the mix.

A quick read - but enjoyable by all means. Tiffinie has put forth a Novella that will not only have you wanting more, but in search of more of her stories

This author never fails to make me laugh then have me sitting on the edge of my seat a few pages later. Moosed-Up makes me want to move to Alaska so I can meet my own forest-smart mountain man. And thanks to Helmer, when I get there I know not to ride in small plans with ex-boyfriends or climb a tree to escape a moose.

What the cover promises, that story delivers. This book still makes me laugh even after I've finished it. The character interaction followed by some downright sexy humor and a moose on the loose makes this a great follow up to Tiffinie Helmer's first novel. Its a perfect summertime read.

    Entertaining funny read
I posted on Facebook for a light easy entertaining book to read and a fellow reading friend recommended this one. I am glad she did. I loved it taking place in Alaska as it is on my bucket list. The author paints a beautiful story with scenery descriptions that made me feel I was actually in Alaska.

It was an enjoyable read with funny parts, a love story, and some bad guys. Eve was a feisty heroine that I connected with and Lynx was a manly man that just makes a girl squishy inside.

I think the moose needs his own story and he was part of the laughing part of the story. I recommend this book for everyone and give it 4 Hearts for its entertainment factor

Moosed up is one of the most enjoyable romps in to Alaska!!
This is one of my favorite novellas in the Wild Alaska series. Eva may be a tiny little bit but as my dad used to say dynamite comes in small packages. Eva lives up to this and then some . Eva a sassy nurse practitioner on the rebound. But with the help of a moose named BW she may have just met her match with Lynx Maiski a fish and Wildlife Officer. Get ready for one of the most enjoyable stories out there. It will leave you begging for more!

    Moosed Up!

The funniest, best book I've read. The story of Lynx, Eva and BW is great. What do you do when a moose plays matchmaker? Enjoy ever minute of it. You'll loved Ms.Helmer's stories.

Up, Up, and Away!! Soaring Read! I loved this introduction to Chatanika, Alaska! This is part of the Wild Men of Alaska box set and is the prequel to Shiver, which comes out soon! The story was quick to read about 110 pages - but was full of comedy, romance, and poaching! And now a bit about the story...

Eva has had it with men! She just lost her best friend to her fiance - she knew he wasn't awesome in bed, but she had never realized he was gay! What was worse than kicking the no good cheating fiance to the curb was that she lost her very best friend. To try and get back into the swing of things again, she uproots herself from the midwest and moves to central Alaska to run the medical clinic. Think "Northern Exposure" --- boy do I miss that show! One thing leads to another and she ends up hiding in a tree from a local moose - luckily the handsome trooper named Lynx comes to her rescue. Join these two as she tries to heal her heart. She thinks she is falling for him - or maybe soaring high, but she knows he has a secret. Give Moosed-Up a try to find out just what he is hiding!

    Favorite passages:
    - "If anything, you need to pack on a few pounds. Winter's coming, and you need a layer of fat to survive it." Or someone hot like me in your bed keeping you warm, he thought.
    - "Moosed-up is when you've been messed-up by a moose. It's just faster and easier to say moosed-up."
    - He put the food in fronbt of her much the way he'd approach a wild animal. Cautiously.
