This collection of experiments is a companion to Bochinski's The Complete Handbook of Science Fair Projects (2004) carefully laid out so that a researcher learns what qualities thirty-five projects have that made them award-winners. Experiments focus on a well-honed research topic, equipment to use to explore the question, procedures, and a series of open-ended questions to answer in explaining the results. Readers are cautioned not to replicate these actual experiments, conducted by seventh through twelfth graders, but to build on them. The first sixty pages give general science fair advice, such as how to survive an interview or how to create an attractive display. The middle half present thirty-five questions, each assigned a field (Behavioral Science, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Botany, etc.), and an experiment designed to explore the question. The appendices present another 400 plus questions for other Science Fair projects, and over a hundred project titles that have won awards. Also included are supply companies, and addresses of nationally-known large scientific competitions and engineering fairs.     Best Book For Hot Science Projects!

    This book is amazing! Great instructions throughout, really comprehensive, goes through every step of the science project process and has excellent excellent sample project instructions for really cool projects that are what kids are working on these days, up to date and great....highly recommend it!
