    Good Read

This book looks through the eyes of the author during his years as an army ranger. What the author endeavors to do is not only to entertain, which it certainly does with plenty of action and dialogue, but also to impart a christian world view with several keen insights during some very critical years of his life. As a reader, I found myself totally engrossed in the author's world, I saw what he saw and did what he did: something I consider to be the mark of a good book. I can relate to the text and was challenged by some of his ideas even though I am a decidedly non-military personality. I found it to be a bit of positive and light reading among an ocean of dark and depressing literature. The book is heavily christian and military influenced- and those people being similarly situated (christian and/or military) will probably enjoy this book more than those who are not. As for myelf, I was deeply touched by this book and hope I can look forward to more like it in the future.
