Overview

On June 3rd, 2007, right after competing in his first surfing contest, Nate Lytle sensed that surfing may have become a distraction in hearing from God. As he drove home that night, Nate made a commitment to God that he wouldn't surf for a whole year.

The next day Nate fell from the top of a ten foot ladder, shattering his skull and leaving him with a severe brain injury. Nate was not expected to live, and even if he did survive, the doctors said he would never walk, talk, or communicate again. As word spread about Nate’s condition, his surfing buddies urged one another on with the phrase "Pray for Nate."

More God tells the compelling story of how God brought back Nate from the brink of death and put him in the very unique position of speaking truth into the lives of those who cannot speak for themselves.

This account tells the true story of how God worked in the life of an accident victim and his family. If anyone has questions about whether physical and spiritual healing is available to us today, the answer is yes. And here's the proof!

Very inspiring book about a great young Christian man. It tells the power of prayer. Parts of his recovery remind me of mine after a severe, almost fatal complication from surgery. The power of the prayers of so many people are just that--powerful. This book tells his story and actually the story of the hundreds of people praying for his recovery.

Incredible book and inspiration! This book takes you through the real world struggles of a young christian man fighting for his life and recovery from an unfortunate accident. His faith and the faith of those that surround him is incredible! You can see how God worked in his recovery and continues to work through Nate's life touching others. A must read!

Having seen firsthand so many of the events chronicled in this book, it was like re-living the story as I read it. I can remember my amazement as I watched God save my friend, restore him from near death, and now use him to spread encouragement to those who are struggling. The book is so well written that it brings back all the emotions, the ups & downs, and the excitement of literally watching miracle after miracle occur right before your eyes. I cannot recommend this book enough! Danny Vivian

I found this book to be very inspiring. Several times while reading it I would think, "Wow! This is the kind of person I want to be." Seeing the way God was in control during every moment of each situation or obstacle was truly a blessing.

This book was very well written with much attention to detail! I, too, prayed over you, Nate, in SICU. It was so hard to see you lay there so helpless and dependent on us, your nurses, to care for you. And particularly hard because I was priviledged to know you as a teenager, growing up with my daughter as a Parkway Youth. But as I prayed, I always had this peaceful feeling (as so many others spoke of in your book) that God was in control. It is so amazing to see how God prepared you for this event. He put some of the most awesome Christian men I know in your life as a teenager (Mike, Brian, & Scott), as well as strong Christian parents. To be able to read such a detailed account of how God provided for you can't help but change our lives. We truly serve an awesome God.

It is hard for me to make time to read, as I am always so busy. I started this book and could not put it down. Read it in one day. Nate shows us how to find the good in bad situations. For a young man to go through all he had to endure and still have the faith that he has is inspiring. He is a wonderful servant, serving God and helping others. God worked miracles over and over in this story. This book is definately one to keep and to share with others!

This is an inspiring story. From start to finish. Could not put this book down. I read it from beginning to end in one day. Anyone who doubts that God is real and can heal, should read this book. I will definately keep this book in my library and read it again. Everyone should read this book. It will encourage you!
