Enter Jessica Bates: spoiled youngest daughter, dreamer extraordinaire, wannabe writer who packed up and drove to Texas, wanting to explore the "real" cowboy life. Hired and almost summarily fired the very next day, despite the miracles she worked cooking and cleaning for the brothers, she manages to gently worm her way into JD's hardened heart - earning spankings from the big, formidable man along the way.

    Nice story about redemption

I really liked the hero and felt bad for him for what the government had done to him which made him think he had to live like a monk. But with a little time and effort Jessica was able to worm her way right thru JD Hamiltom's defenses even though she got spanked for a lot of her troubles!

Laugh out loud....seriously? He's an Alpha?

This has to be the corniest book i have ever read. The hero is just sooo boorishly booring. You girls want to read about Aplha males try Karen Marie Moning's books or Linda Howard who created the best, the most sexually charged hero Wolf Mackenzie in Mackenzies Mountain he's half Comanche half Highland Scot you couldn't find a better heroic character. (In my humble opinion at least.)

This story packs an emotional punch. JD is overcoming all that

This story packs an emotional punch. JD is overcoming all that happened to him during his time of service and he has closed himself off because he thinks its best for everyone. Jessie comes in like a breath of fresh air or maybe a small tornado. Through Jessie he learns that he can control himself but he still holds back. Jessie can't full surrender her feelings because JD hasn't. A great story and a wonderful HEA.
