Meet the Author

Beverly Farr has been writing books since the second grade when she declared herself an author. She lives in Texas with her tall, dark, and handsome husband, three children and a grumpy cat.

“Happily-ever-after is my drug of choice. Not that I won’t read or watch a sad story (now and then), but I crave happy endings. I love Jane Austen, Cinderella stories, and 1930s screwball comedies. (Think An AFFAIR TO REMEMBER or WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING). Since real life has a way of being tough enough, I write sweet, quirky contemporary romances to take the edge off.

What you will find in my stories:

1. Sweet quirky romance.

2. Very little swearing. There may be an occasional hell or damn, maybe even a b*tch, but there will be no Lord’s name in vain and no f-bombs.

3. No explicit sex scenes. Characters might discuss sex, but any love scenes are off screen (Think AFRICAN QUEEN).

4. No vampires. At least, not yet.”

A sweet, clean short romantic story (about 8 pages). Enjoyed it! The emotions seemed true to human nature....and Josh and Carrie are both characters I could root for. That's a feat for an author to pull off in so few pages...but Beverly Farr accomplished that...and much more. We caught a glimpse of their pasts and their hopeful future. The setting of coworkers (a reason to know each other, a reason to be out together, a reason to avoid the gossips) worked well. I'll definitely look for more of Beverly Farr's work. Content: clean (free of swearing, free of sexual content)

Despite its length I enjoyed the interplay between Carrie and Josh as they spend time together. Josh's chivalry with her Ex was sweet. I loved the tentative hopefulness of the ending. All read
