Zach and Emily have been best friends since high school but Zach wants much more. Emily is the girl of his dreams-and unfortunately taken. Zach knows her jerk of a fiancé isn't good enough for sweet, perfect Emily, but what can he do? The answer comes in the form of a frantic phone call late one night-Emily is in trouble.

When Emily agreed to go to the Rustler's Roundup charity auction for her eccentric employer, she never dreamed that she would be the goods auctioned off. Now, standing half naked on stage and being bid on by complete strangers, she's about to get a lot more charity than she planned on. Luckily for her, Zach rides to the rescue just in time. But in order to free her from the Roundup, he has to do a lot more than bid on her-spanking and sex are on the menu as well.

Will the hot sexual encounter destroy their relationship? Or will they finally become more than friends?

    Great but too short

This was really good but wish it was way longer!

    Not worth the price

Very short - took less than an hour to read. I liked the characters, but the story went from far-fetched at the beginning to incredibly corny at the end. Waste of money.

    HOT!

Every woman should have a man as in love with her as Zach is with Emily. From the first moment we see the couple together, you can feel the tension between them as they play the dangerous game some best friends do of choosing love over friendship. Zach's unrequited love for Emily was so obvious, it almost broke my heart. But she has a boyfriend, which makes her off limits to him.

This is a different take on the best friends turned lovers plot. Ms. Anderson does what she does best with a solid plot and scorching hot sex between the two protagonists, after Zach saves her in a true white knight fashion from a BDSM auctioneer at a charity auction. With an interesting twist, they find themselves in irresistible situation that leads to more than Zach or Emily bargained for in their friendship.

Kudos to Ms. Anderson for writing a twinky beta hero that turns alpha between the sheets. Throw in the fact that he is well hung and we have a hero that come eat crackers in my bed any day. I would have liked to see Emily developed as a character a bit more but I don't think I would have noticed with Zach taking up most of my screen.

Emily and Zach are sexy, fun characters that are meant to be together. For anyone who has ever had the fantasy of falling in love with their hunky best friend, this story is a rocky journey but well worth the read.
