Overview

"For every action there is an equal ond opposite reaction."

For every choice you make there are rewards,
or there are consequences.
It was my choice to walk away the first time.
And my choice to chase her the second.
But sometimes you don't get a choice,
and all you get are the consequences.

"Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength,
while loving someone deeply gives you courage.”

Unless that someone is Logan Matthews.
Because loving him didn't give me
the strength to walk away.
It didn't give me
the courage to fight for him.
And when it was over,
all it gave me was a broken heart.

Logan. Logan. Logan. Dear sweet, sexy Logan. All of the mistakes

Logan. Logan. Logan. Dear sweet, sexy Logan. All of the mistakes you make are enough drive this girl insane. I loved the little bit we got of Logan in More Than This so I could not wait for his story. Now we finally get to be inside Logan's head a little bit to see what he is thinking. And inside his head is not an easy place to be.

When he met Amanda a year ago, they had an amazing connection and a great sex-free night together. But he screwed it up. Now they are both at the same college and though she manages to avoid him for a while, they are now thrown together on a daily basis. How long can she resist his charm? Not very long and I can't say I blame her. Logan is hot, funny and charming and underneath that smugness is actually a sweet guy.

This book drove me absolutely insane, but I loved every minute of it. I loved their chemistry together and yeah the steamy sex. But it was also painful to see them both not communicating to each other and making so many mistakes. There is enough angst in here to fill a swimming pool and at times it made me want to pull out my hair or smack the hell out of these two. Logan for continually pushing Amanda away even though he loves her and Amanda for letting him. I generally liked Amanda, but dammit if the girl loved him half as much as she claimed to, then she should have fought harder for him.

And then came the ending. The ending that literally had me screaming out loud "WTH?" I had no clue there was a cliffhanger here, which doesn't necessarily bother me, but it just totally blindsided me. I was not expecting the book to end the way it did at all. Thankfully we don't have to wait long for book 3, More Than Him, which is due to release in February 2014. But something tells me that is going to be a painful one too.

    Not so much

I didn't love this book like I did the first. I felt like Logan, who is all about moments, let a little bit too much of his past control his future. Amanda was ridiculous in the end. Her reaction was unjustified in my opinion. Amanda is extremely immature throughout the entire book and that irritated the ever living crude outta me. I didn't feel like her and Logan should even be together - and I felt that way from the very beginning. Considering her best friend was only mentioned in a handful of pages I felt like she was a self-centered brat. Not a fan of this one. I will read the next because I want to hear more about Logan - Amanda can take a hike.

Let me start by saying I loved the first book, More Than This,

Let me start by saying I loved the first book, More Than This, and if you have not read that yet you should start there. Now I loved Jake in the first book and he still is the better book boyfriend, but Logan was so funny in the first book and I couldn't wait to read his story, and let me just say it was worth the wait.

In this book we get Logan's story and get to meet Amanda again, she was briefly mentioned in the first book. We initially get the story in alternating past/present scenarios and it gives us some interesting background on Logan and Amanda. The story then goes on in alternating POV between Logan and Amanda.

I love that the old gang is back from the first book, especially Lucy, I loved her in the first. The same funny comments from her coupled with Amanda's feisty nature and Logan's, well everything about him, make for an entertaining story.

Grandmas smell like Band-Aids mothballs and oranges.

Initially, even though I was enjoying the story, I sort of felt like it was not going to live up to the first. Then we get to the final 10% of the book and McLean rocks my happy little world. Holy cow, something happens that I just did not expect. My heart started to break and I could not read fast enough to find out what was going to happen. What happens, tears fell and I am left feeling empty. Now I patiently wait until this Spring. I so hate the winters in the midwest but the real reason I will be looking forward to the Spring will be so I can read More Than Him.

    Favorite Lines:

    "You. Are. Ruining DEAN HOLDER!"
"Dude it is Tuesday...and they are Hoovering."
"I spent most of my high school years so far in the closet I was having adventures in Narnia."
"We're goint to make new memories. Ones that you aren't afraid of. And it's going to be amazing."
"I can't give you much, or anything at all. But when I say those words to you, it won't just be words--It will be me giving you something that means something."
