Wickedly sexy James Bowen is a bad boy of the highest order--tattoos and attitude included--which unfortunately ranks way up on Tate's not-a-chance-in-hell list, right there along with skydiving naked over Teheran and juggling Ebola vials just for kicks. But what the heck, she's on holiday, the guy is absolutely irresistible, and she needs to unplug from her life.

Overview

Wickedly sexy James Bowen is a bad boy of the highest order--tattoos and attitude included--which unfortunately ranks way up on Tate's not-a-chance-in-hell list, right there along with skydiving naked over Teheran and juggling Ebola vials just for kicks. But what the heck, she's on holiday, the guy is absolutely irresistible, and she needs to unplug from her life. With her dad and brother gone, Tate is left to deal with the family restaurant, which is fast going down the drain. Her employees are acting up, her boyfriend has bailed out, and her very own private stalker is emailing her to death with lovely threats of doom, fire, and dismemberment. So yeah, maybe a little holiday fling is in order. Strictly sex though, and no follow-up whatsoever. Once. Just once.

She hadn't counted on her take-charge holiday fling having an opinion of his own and stubbornly sticking around, before and after the sex, making himself at home in her life. There is definitely more to James than meets her prejudiced eye, and even if she's not ready to look deeper, James isn't prepared to permit her not to.

This is a book I've been dying to read for quite some time. A lot of my blogging pals have loved it and raved about the high steam level. Did it live up to my expectations? Yes. Yes it did. More Than Meets the Ink had an interesting plot and steamy sex. What more could a girl want? Tate is typically a very cautious girl. She runs the family business after her father and brothers' deaths and doesn't have a whole lot of time for fun. But when she heads down to Florida to visit her mom, she meets James. He's tattooed and mysterious. Just the kind of guy she typically avoids. However, James isn't all that he seems. He's certainly thrilling and extremely sexy. So, Tate decides to have a fling with James thinking it won't go further. However, they both live in the Boston area and once they return home, their affair continues. What neither one of them expected was to fall in love.  Tate still grieves for her brother and father and to top it off, she's being threatened by an unknown person. With James now in her life, he won't tolerate Tate being threatened or harmed in ANY way. See, James runs a security company, so he has resources to keep her safe and to find out who's causing trouble. While I had this part figured out pretty early on, it gave the plot some bones. I enjoyed it.  Tate and James were both likable. The only thing that bugged me about Tate was that she judged James so severely by his appearance. She was just so far off base with her presumptions and didn't bother getting to know him in the beginning. Of course as their relationship continues, she changes her mind about what she thought he was like. In the end, I liked their relationship. It was definitely passionate and sexy as hell. As for the sexy..... I have to say the best part about their sex scenes were how James would talk dirty to Tate. Dude, it was seriously a turn on. I'll add some quotes below to give you a taste. *Warning: they are VERY explicit!* The supporting characters were all great. Cole and Elle are the characters I'm most looking forward to reading about. Cole's book is next and I don't think he's paired up with Elle, but I'm looking forward to it. I also like James' partners. Hoping they will be featured again as well.  Overall, I really enjoyed More Than Meets the Ink. It's definitely a series I'm looking forward to following. I'll have Heavy Issues, the second book, up for next week's WWS. Looking forward to diving into Cole's sexy!

So, as I was reading the first chapter of this book, I was thinking to myself, "How can a book that starts off in a elderly community be hot?". Well, I will tell you, it can and it did.  Not only do you have the  super amazingly wonderful James Bowen, but you have this quirky array of  residents and the slightly messed up Tate.  By the time Tate and James ended up back on their home turf I was completely sucked into their world and there was no way I was putting the book down until the very last page.  I will say that the "mystery" stalker was pretty predictable  but the story was more about Tate and James connecting and learning to trust each other and their feelings.  If you are looking for a hot read with characters that are easy to relate to even when they are doing things that make you cringe, then this book may be the one for you. I am very much looking forward to reading more from this author and hope there are a lot more books planned for the Bowen brothers.

I wasn't happy with Tate (heroine) with her closed mindedness and hypocrisies, but I absolutely L O V E D our awesome hero James!!! The man made up for the twit he fell in loved with. Albeit, the story had great chemistry, intriguing storyline, and fun characters. I wish that the author will continue to write about all the hot men in this book. At the end, Tate does come to realize that her misconceptions were wrong....thank goodness, cause I really wanted to slap her around at some point. The book does suck you in and I really couldn't put it down. I read the 500+ pages in a weekend. I'm sure gonna read book # 2, which is about Cole, the older brother like right NOW! SIGH......

This book really hit on all cylinders. I started out laughing out loud - hysterically.  The attraction and tension between James and Tate is clear through the entire book. Very well done and great writing by Elle to keep that up. I've not read a book with a character quite like Tate - holding James back emotionally the way she did right from the beginning. I thoroughly enjoyed witnessing James falling for Tate while she wanted to keep the relationship temporary and only physical. He was much more emotional and forthcoming of his feeling than she was, but it in no way diminished his alpha qualities and tendancies. James in 100% alpha male and would do anything for Tate. There were twists, but they were not really predictable. I wish there had been a bit more humor in the second porton of the book - back in Boston. I was expecting it after I laughed so much while they were in Florida. All in all, it was a good read and I'll read more from Elle. This story had a little bit of everything...laughter, loss, lust, love, suspense, a lot of push and pull and steamy sex. If you're on the fence, pick it up. It's worth the time.

James watches two women trying to sneak into his dad's condo but never thought he'd find what's been missing from his life. Tate never expected to be attracted to bad boy with tattoos yet James Bowen sets her blood on fire just by speaking. Tate is still grieving the loss of her father and her brother while trying to keep Rosita's up and running in their memory. Tate expects a fling with James but finds he wants more than she's willing to give at this point. Tate is getting threatening emails from someone she calls Prince Charming. She passes it off as harmless until James discovers the emails. Who is Prince Charming? Will Tate finally grieve? What does James really feel for Tate? Will Tate believe she's in love with James?
