Overview

Growing up on one of the quadrant’s most popular star stations, Morgan Drex has spent half his life fantasizing about one day wearing the sleek blue-and-gold outfits and tall, gleaming black boots of Earth’s elite Star Guard. Those dreams have almost faded when he meets Evander Redshift at the Lunar Bar one night. A tough officer who has traveled the galaxy, Evander offers Morgan a chance not just to become a Star Guard, but to become a man as well. That won’t be easy for a guy who has never left the space station where he was born and whose family has already mapped out a career path for him in the local casino. Somehow, Morgan has to muster the courage to accept Evander’s offer and take off for the stars.

Morgan the main character has just turned 19 and is working in a job traditionally held by him family. He wants out and wants to join the military, but until he meets Evander, the Star Guard, he didn't or wouldn't tell his family of his dreams. Meeting Evander helps Morgan make up his mind about joining the Guard. Even though this story is the first in series and is a short quick read, I kind of felt like the ending was rushed a little to much. I'm still interested in reading the remaining portions of the series, but: I felt that the author could have gone into a little more detail as to the length of time that had passed before Morgan finally did join the Star Guard. Maybe even a little bit of how Morgan felt being away from Evander. Anyway, I like the set up and I like the sci-fi aspects. It's a good start to a series or the beginning of a Novel. (Note: I received a free copy in exchange for a review. The review is my personal opinion of this story and not influenced by receiving a freebie. If the story had been horrible, I would honestly have said so. I'm not afraid to write up reviews on horrible writing. In fact that's what I frequently do, especially to point out grammar and typo errors. This story is well edited and if there were grammar or typos I didn't notice either. Plain and simple I like the story and I'd like to read more from the author.)

this is not science fiction, it is gay erotica in a sci fi setting
