Don't miss this explosive second chapter in Lucy St. John's exhilarating, fast-paced "Morgan's Chase" series.

This time, there is more at stake than love and money. Someone near and dear to Morgan Chase becomes a pawn in the high-stakes corporate games Morgan is playing. And only understated ex-Navy SEAL Travis Walker can prevent a terrible tragedy. But will the ease with which Travis lapses back into his world of violence threaten his deepening relationship with Morgan? Will she ever be able to look at him the same way again after witnessing Travis's once-gentle hands become lethal?

It's all part of the chase - "Morgan's Chase #2" (Tied Up & Twisted)

You'll want to be there every step of the way for all of the romance, lust, laughs, love and action that define "Morgan's Chase."

Who is heroine Morgan Chase?

She's a sexy white-collar executive with blue-collar roots, a bio that closely resembles that of her anonymous author, Lucy St. John. Morgan's professional life is taking off, just as her personal life is bottoming out. Stung by a messy divorce from her Fortune 500 Ex, Morgan is twice shy, but increasingly needy -- and wanting.

This doesn't mean Morgan lacks men in her life. In fact, there's too much testosterone in her orbit. Problem is, Morgan has a difficult time choosing, and there are both pleasures and pitfalls attached to each of Morgan's would-be men.

Hence, the chase.

It's a wild, sexy, thrilling, funny -- and touching ride -- whether inside the boardroom, or the bedroom. For Morgan Chase, both venues are her playing fields now. And she's determined to win!

From the Author:

Dear Reader,

We meet again! I am so glad you are back for more of Morgan's Chase. I promise that you ain't seen nuthin' yet!

While Morgan hit the ground running in Book One; it was but the beginning of the beginning. This is where the suspense accelerates, the stakes increase and the intrigue deepens.

Here we find Morgan paying the professional consequences for a personal miscalculation involving one night of well-deserved pleasure. She understands and mostly accepts the fallout at the office, even if it comes at a very inopportune time in her fast-rising career.

What Morgan doesn't understand - and what she never prepared for - is the very personal toll paid by another member of her family. An innocent. Someone who should have never been sucked in to Morgan's increasingly volatile work situation.

Yet, the higher Morgan climbs, the more dangers that await. This is the recurring lesson of Morgan's Chase.

In addition, this is the book where Morgan's relationship with the mysterious Travis Walker deepens, as well. After so many mistakes with men and a long dry spell since her messy divorce, Morgan starts to think that Travis might be the one for the long haul.

If only it were that easy.

Unfortunately, events conspire against the happy couple, as do the push-and-pull forces of Morgan's professional and personal chase. By the book's end, the budding relationship between the two seemingly perfect-for-each-other protagonists will grow far more complicated. Perhaps, hopelessly so. This dilemma becomes another ongoing theme for the series.

And here, for the first time, we glimpse the ex-Nacy SEAL in action - and in full. It is quite a harrowing sight to see. It causes both Travis and Morgan to begin second-guessing everything about their relationship.

With Book Two, Tied Up & Twisted, readers begin to realize just how thorny, dangerous and exciting the Chase will be. Yet, it's only a small sneak preview of everything to come.

Thank you all for being faithful readers and for following along on Morgan's journey, as she continues to guide me in telling you her incredible, unforgettable story. I hope to have all of you racing to keep up with the Chase!

Meet the Author

Lucy St. John is the super-secret Nom de Plume of a major league, highly successful female executive. She sticks to what she knows in creating her brand new, breakthrough romantic series, “Morgan’s Chase.” All the juicy details are ripped right from Lucy’s own fast-climbing corporate life. St. John’s superheated, highly evocative – and, yes, controversial -- narrative chronicles both the corporate boardroom battles and the behind-the-scenes bedroom tumbles of a fast-charging female executive out to shatter the glass ceiling. In doing so, St. John’s passionate prose is as authentic as it is addictive. Once you begin following Morgan’s Chase, you won’t be able to stop. Look for these “Morgan’s Chase” adventures, coming soon from Lucy St. John: Power Play, Tied Up and Twisted, Reversal of Fortune, and Triple Play.

Dear Reader,

All of my fiction springs from the realities we women face every day in the push-and-pull of our professional and personal lives. So you know as well I that as hard as we work, as much as we try, life shows us that the forces of fate are for more powerful than all of our personal and professional struggles, combined.

All along the way, shocking events put Morgan's chase in perspective, even as they change the playing field where she will compete. At times, we find Morgan as an unlikely loser on both sides of her ongoing chase for balance in her personal and professional life. Her family has been thrown for a loss, and so too has her love-life.

Other times, Morgan Chase makes all the right moves in both her professional and personal lives. Indeed, it appears Morgan is achieving everything she ever dreamed - and more. And at long last, after many false starts, she's on the cusp of reaching a new level of intimacy in her romantic relationship with ex-Navy SEAL Travis Walker
