"A FIRST-RATE TRUE CRIME THRILLER AND DETECTIVE STORY OF THE HIGHEST ORDER...THE KIND OF BOOK YOU GRAB EAGERLY AND CAN'T PUT DOWN."

-Detroit Free Press

On October 15, 1985, two pipe bombs shook the calm of Salt Lake City, Utah, killing two people. The only link-both victims belonged to the Mormon Church. The next day, a third bomb was detonated in the parked car of church-going family man, Mark Hoffman. Incredibly, he survived. It wasn't until authorities questioned the strangely evasive Hoffman that another, more shocking link between the victims emerged...

It was the appearance of an alleged historic document that challenged the very bedrock of Mormon teaching, questioned the legitimacy of its founder, and threatened to disillusion millions of its faithful-unless the Mormon hierarchy buried the evidence.

Drawing on exclusive interviews, The Mormon Murders reconstructs a secret conspiracy of God, greed, and murder that would expose one of the most ingenious con men in the annals of crime-and shake the very foundation of a multibillion-dollar empire to its core.

Politics, Religion, Murder and Greed-It's got it all!

Very informative regarding Latter Day Saints and the everyday manifestation of their beliefs. Many twists and turns to the plot and subplots which are related to an extensive background and development of a true story. Found myself reading for hours without realizing the passage of time... Crafted well as usual by author Naifeh. (I read all of his books.) Highly recommend for those who love true crime genre and escapist novels!

    SPEECHLESS

WOW! This book put me in awe! It is an absolute eye opener and page turner in religious skeptisism and trickery! The authors did an amazing job in detail of the actual crimes, inside information and testimony of the church as well as the killer himself. As a member of the LDS religion I couldnt have found out such testimonials and history upon reading except to be right there in the killers shoes. This is a MUST READ for anyone seeking the truth and documentation of whats real or not!!!!!

    The LDS Church Exposed

This book is a well researched description of three bombings in Salt Lake City in the 1980's. In tracing the work and life of the bomber we find that he was also a con man and brilliant forger who was able to con the LDS church into participating in scams of purchases of forged historical documents which cast the church and its founders in a bad light. The church, and member Mormons, acting privately, bought forgeries to supress information which would challenge the origins of the church and character of its founders. The church leaders who bought into the scams did so because they felt the forged documents were damaging to the church and in doing so they further contributed to the lies and deceit that are at the heart of the founding of the Mormon faith
