    Mormon and PROUD!!!!

I find this very insulting, as I am a Mormon. For those of you who say no educated person would join, WRONG!! We have books of scripture that have the WHOLE truth! I doubt the author of this has really studied and immersed himself in our gospel. This is wrong and insulting, and any truly educated person would know that. I wish that I could give this book zero stars, but then I couldn't tell him how insulting this is. Does anyone agree with me?

I cannot believe any educated individual would ever get sucked into this ridiculous religion. It is quite laughable.

    Spoiler: It's a cult.

The author has it right. He takes apart the religion bit by bit, to show the hows and whys of this cult.

STUPID!!!!!!!>:( I'm a mormon and I know my church is true.

This man is pretty dumb but he is also wrong because it clearly states in the Book of Mormon that we should TRY to be perfect. No wonder why he is an inactive member!

    Con and Cult

This works based religion is very much so a false religion. The only thing Christian about it is the terminology stolen from Biblical / historical Christianity. The definitions they use are light years away from what a Biblical Christian use based on the Old and New Testaments. You don't need to swallow rat poison to know its bad for you any more than you need to become emeshed in their religion to know it is beyond spiritualy dysfunctional. On common sense alone the faith does not make sense. Beyond all that it is simply untrue and based on lies. This book exposes this, as do many others and many LDS do not want to take an honest look at the facts. When presented with facts they default to feelings and the heart. However the Bible they claim to know says that the heart is " decietfuly wicked". Some cannot be confused with the facts.

    Not worth much.

If you truly wish to know for your self if the LDS (Mormon) church is a cult or not, I would whole heartedly recommend going to a Mormon church and sitting through the meeting. Talk to the people. Read the Book of Mormon. Talk with the Mormon missionaries. And pray. And see what your heart tells you. Do your research. Read books by authors who have researched what they are talking about. But I will say, please dont rely to heavily on this book. I only read a sample due to the reviews and will not be wasting my money on the book. Its poorly written and it seems as if the author could not get his thoughts together properly nor afford an editor. Poorly written with typos and spelling errors in the first 14 pages turned me off, and im sure if I had purchased the book I would find more fodder against it. And that is all before coming at this as a Mormon who was not raised in the church and went from being very anti-Mormon to convert at age 22. I hope if you read my review it will help you to take this work with a grain of salt. Question what he says as much, if not more so, than you do the religion, whether it be a "con or cult" or not. Good luck and God Bless.

    Hmm...........

It seems that people have to butt into everyones religious beliefs. Its humerous that someone has to always condemn others. Dont read for it just breeds ignorance....

    Autum

I totally get it. When I was 11 I got in that situation. He asked me to the sock-hop, and I said yes. Which was a huge mistake. It made me feel bad, and guilty even though I ended up missing the sockhop... If you just cant say no... tell your dad about it. He will totally make it so you can't go. And then you can just tell the boy that your dad said no. About the cussing friend, I am not sure because one of my friends cusses and I still have not had the courage to tell her to stop :(. And as for the physical hurting friends... Talk to them and ask them what happened. If they just shrug you off or are just like, "I dont know." Then they are obviously not your friend. But if they tell you that they were just being stupid or was having a bad day and includes an apology (hopefully) they may have just made a mistake. If you have an older sister talk to her. If you don't, try and talk to a Yw. Or an activityday leader, but I'm not sure how that would work... Good luck! (My name is not Autum, but it's for safety purposes, I AM 12)

No one can be perfect. We should accept our imperfections and not try or want to be something we're not. Thats why satan got kicked out of heaven. He wanted to be God. So if we want to be God we will be kicked out of the book of life and heaven.

This was a very interesting book and discussed serious issues concerning discrepencies in the Mormon religion.  I have always felt that the
story of Joseph Smith was interesting but made up to make him money as he was a con man with his money seeker scam he was
running prior to his "vision".  The bottom line to me is that we continue to find archealogical evidence of the bible but nothing has been found for
    the mormon bible...how strange.
