Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
More recipes and musings from the chef/owner of Mendocino's ``small but well-known'' restaurant, author of Cafe Beaujolais (Ten Speed Pr., 1984). ``Morning food'' includes not just traditional choices, but also Cherry Clafouti, Creamy Mozzarella Sandwich, and even Black Bean Chili. Almost every recipe comes with a chatty sidebar from Fox--an opinion on technique, an anecdote about the restaurant, a childhood reminiscence. Some readers may be put off by her intensely personal style, while others will be fascinated; all will find her recipes delicious. For most collections.
