    An intriguing story

Bob Waldo was without a fulfilling love all his young life. As a spirited Naval Officer he was too lackadaisical to know ' true' love when charming and beautiful Leslie Taylor entered his life. It was Leslie who started Bob thinking about love when she told him her Grandmothers beautiful story of lovers discovering their emotions together when they reached the 'morning side of the mountain' Bob never realized he loved Leslie until she tired of waiting for his full affections and walked out of his life. In his grief he led a life of hedonism until beautiful and strong willed Mandy Cambridge entered his life. At first they were just friends, as far as she knew, but he secretly longed for her shared love and passion. One chilly wine filled evening in his cozy cabin at Lake Tahoe, in a rare moment of weakness, Mandy fulfills Bobs' passion. Too late she realizes she is in love with him, and is unable to tell him of her dawning feelings before fate steps in the way. In the eariler years of knowing Mandy, Bob volunteered for Vietnam. But the greater war he encountered was not the Viet Cong, it was the uncovering of the secret schemes of two traitorous Americans who would later seal Mandys' fate and change his life forever! During all this turmoil his heart still longed for Leslie. Had she found the 'mountain'? Did she still have feelings for him? Morning Side of the Mountain is an excellent story of Love, War and Intrigue. A story of love at it's best!

    Hard to put down

Writer has a way of making his characters become real. When Bob hides under the floor of a brothel to escape the viet cong, it seems so real that I felt like I was there. Heck, I even fell in love with Mandy and Leslie.( but Leslies' the one) This is an excellent story, very well told. It's not only a love story, but also a story with intrigue and everyday emotions. I didn't want to read it, but my girlfriend insisted, and am I GLAD she did! Morning Side of the Mountain is a heart felt story and one not soon to be forgotten. If there is any place that the author falls short on, is that (in my opinon) he ends his love scenes to soon -but, thats what we have imaginations for- A must read. A feel good story. I believe I see a TV movie here!!!
