In Morocco in March Jack Miles joins the Peace Corps and ends up in Morocco after a painful love affair that ends in a tragedy for which he feels responsible. In a bleak Saharan town his association with Omar Abass, a Moroccan soldier, leads him into dissipation and brutality.
