    A Fun, Frightening Read

GREAT READ! I took a chance on this new author and I'm glad I did! The May 'Midwest Book Review' was totally right - David Brookover DOES write like Stephen King and Dean Koontz. I might add that his book reads faster than their books do. A 1960's genetic experiment goes bad and results in the escape of a monstrous killer with many frightening physical and mental abilitites. He/it is uncatchable until Orion Sector Agent Nick Bellamy comes along. But it's not easy for Nick and his fellow agents. They have to face and defeat other Mortal Eclipse Project mutants and a few crafty witches/mages before bringing this guy down. It's a lot more complicated than that, with lots of cliffhangers and tense writing. I couldn't put it down! I read that David Brookover has a new novel coming out this summer - 'The Ancient Breed' that's like a sequel to 'Mortal Eclipse'. I'll be the first on Barnes and Noble.com to buy it!!!

Congratulations on a job well done.

This book is one of the most entertaining books I have ever read. I felt like I was on a rollercoaster ride from the very first page untill the very end full of surprising twists and turns that you could never expect. In fact I for one am anxiously anticipating the sequel to see more of Nick and his staff's amazing adventures. I loved this book and commend the author on his first book and welcome him to the world of horror. He is worhty of being mentioned in the same breath as the Greats, Benchly, King and Koontz

    A fun, scarefest plot

Finally, a horror story with a great plot and believable characters! Once I started reading Mortal Eclipse, I could hardly put it down. The intricate plot was the best I've read in sometime - a lot of recent horror stories have had simple-simon plots which have been predictable. I applaud the author on his first novel, and I hope there are many more to come!!! I for one can hardly wait!

    serious horror fan

I thought this book was terrrible. There were so many misprints, it was ridiculous. It was very hard to follow the storyline, jumping around way too much. I hope he will recover if and when he ever creates another novel. This book is a subpar performance and I wish they offered refunds.

    DECENT NOVEL

THIS NOVEL WAS VERY EASY TO READ, AT TIMES ALMOST TO EASY THOUGH. MORTAL ECLIPSE HAD A FAIR STORYLINE. OVERALL THOUGH, I ENJOYED THE NOVEL.
