    Mortal Temptations by Allyson James

    Hmmm, how to rate "Mortal Temptations" by Allyson James? I really enjoy her 'Dragon' series, but I must say that this read left me, well...not cold, but not hot either.

    Patricia has always been psychic and able to 'read' auras, so she's always up for a little something unusual. However, finding a man with a broken wing in her antique store may be just a bit more than a little unusual. But boy howdy, he sure is hot!

    Nico is the son of a god and cursed by Hera to be a slave to female desire (and why can't I ever find these guys?) but never know real love. He's attracted to Patricia and a little surprised, it's not often a mortal takes his wings in stride. But when Patricia becomes involved in trying to help them break their curse, Nico and his partner in the curse Andreas (who turns into a snow leopard by the way), soon realize that now Patricia has been brought to the notice of the gods...and this has never been a winning situation for mortals!

    There is a LOT of hot sex in this book...oral, anal, vaginal; with toys and without; light bondage; sex with one, two, and three; and in just about every position I could think of! There's mono, hetero, and homo sex to boot! The only part left out was girl/girl and I think that's only because this is marketed towards hetero women. Is that enough sex for you?

    It wasn't the sex that was the problem in this book. For me at least, it was the lack of any real relationship building...feeling-wise. I get the lure of the curse, but still don't buy a fairly goody-two-shoes suddenly turned pseudo sex kitten/dominatrix. And with all the push/pull between the three main characters, I just didn't 'feel' the love. But hey, maybe it's just me.

    an entertaining hot contemporary quest thriller

    In midtown Manhattan psychic Patricia Lake is stunned to find an unconscious hunk with a broken wing lying on the floor of her shop, Lake Antiques. The demigod Nico Stanopolous was cursed by the goddess Hera for his cavalier affront to women; he must spend eternity as a sex slave to females. Nico was in the store seeking an artifact the ostracon that he believed she had that will free him and his equally cursed friend were-leopard Andreas; he explains they own nearby trendy Andre¿s. He explains Dyon attacked him though his enemy can maim him but is not allowed to kill him.

    Patricia, Nico and Andreas travel across the world seeking a means to free the cursed pair. At every stop, the trio dives into bed for heated trysts. There band grows when a human archaeologist, an Egyptian god and a Greek deity join their adventures while Hera has sent a horde to prevent them from succeeding. None of the band understands that the only potential answer to free at least Nico was not going on tour, but could be found much easier if the mortal and the immortal stopped to listen to their hearts.

    Using the Norse mythology concept of Gods interfering and intruding on human lives, but in a modern day context, Allyson James provides a wonderful erotic romantic urban fantasy. From the moment they meet until the final climax (figuratively and literally), Nico, Patricia and Andreas will have fans believing in cursed demigods with wings, shift-shapers, and an irate Hera ready to punish those who defy her will; all that and various sexual interludes from female-male partnering to ménage a trois to mano a mano. This is the beginning of what looks like will be a strong saga. Sub-genre fans will relish MORTAL TEMPTATIONS because it is an entertaining hot contemporary quest thriller.

    Erotic and fiction rolled up into one awesome story.

    I have recommended this book to so many of my friends. I had one in particular who could not put the book down and read it in 24 hours. This book is very erotic with a good story line. Once you start reading it is very hard to stop. The encounters are explained in great detail and my boyfriend was a very happy man while I was reading this book. This book is a definite must read if you like erotic type of books. I can't wait until the second part comes out in September.

    If only a man with black satin wings or a man who was a leopard existed!

    I absolutely loved this book, it captivated me from the start and over again and again (three times through and its still great!). Disappointed I have to wait so long for the next in the series to come out, but reading this one over and over will keep me busy until then!

    A Great Mistake!

    I actually bought this book by accident thinking it was a different one that is not released until April. It is one of the better mistakes I have made. The book was funny and I loved the character interaction. The plot could have been a little more developed and the ending was a little abrupt but other than that a great read for a lazy weekend.

    Great Read!!

    I was captivated and hooked through the entire book! Lots of sex but not overbearing. A little different with the tiger being sexual, but verrry kinky!!!

    What a waste!

    I could not get into it. Even with nothing else new to read, I could not get into this book. It had a promising start but then got stale early on and I lost interest after the first or 2nd chapter. It is definitely being sent on asap.

    Don't bother with it. There was such great promise before it turned into a insert part P into slot V.
