    Hayden Roux's life hasn't been easy. Being bullied by her family her whole life, she has been filled with a loneliness she somehow feels she deserves.

    One night, Hayden reads her favorite newspaper and it begins the adventure she has been waiting for her entire life.

    She is responsible for going to White Grover to find the missing Grand Pearl, the last heirloom left of the royal family who once reigned the land.

    Hayden begins a whole new exciting life. She gains friends, a new family, a quirky school, all while trying to solve the mystery of the Pearl. But while settling in, something just doesn't feel right.

    What's going on in her new house? Why does her new teacher hate her so much? Who is this old man, Neitm, who seems to know more about her than she does?

    MORTALS takes you to magical and mysterious White Grover, filled with murder and arson, with talking horses and time travel, and ultimately a battle of good versus evil.
