    Sweet and heartfelt

What a wonderful, sweet story! Any animal lover will fall in love with this presentation of the gospel. It connects the Old Testament and New Testament seamlessly in a simple, heartfelt tale. Bullion is a very likeable main character from a loving family who has a knack for handling animals. He feels a purpose beyond the family shepherding. Unbeknownst to him his calling will have him trailing the rabbi Jeshua throughout his life. You will be surprised as the cast of characters unfolds. It's a delight to me, as I grew up with all the Sunday School characters, and still very accessible for someone meeting them for the first time. A refreshing read, one that can be shared inter-generationally!

Learn about religion in a fun-filled imaginative way.....

Moses, God's Blessed Donkey is a fantastic book for readers of all ages. I really enjoyed reading this book and as a parent of very young children that can not read independently I think this would be an awesome book to add to a parent's collection. The author did an awesome job creating a story that is vivid and very little imagination is needed beyond the authors use of adjectives to get the children's attention because he does a great job creating it all on his own. The characters and locations in the book introduce religion in a non-intrusive way. The pictures throughout the book help follow the plot of the story and what better way to instill religion to a beginner or add to the teachings of the most advanced readers. I also appreciated some of the lifelong concepts presented in the book, such as faithfulness and sincerity.

    Highly Recommended

If you're searching for a good story to introduce your kids to religion with I might suggest Moses: God's Blessed Donkey. It's a sort of 're-imagining' of the life of Jesus that supposes that a donkey named Moses is present for the birth, life, and crucifixion of Jesus. Aside from logic concerns, Stock's flowery prose and wonderful illustrations only serve to illuminate the story for kids and adults of any age. Just like the Bible, Moses God's Blessed Donkey is full of basic morality teachings with positive messages in showing respect toward your neighbors and acquaintances. Ultimately, the book is an approachable one and at just over 137 pages, it's sure to delight even the most cynical reader.

    Priceless Gem - Highly Recommended!!!

Ron Stock has a produced a rare gem in Moses, God's Blessed Donkey. A reward to Bullion for suggesting the most-fitting name, the donkey Moses, grows up with and accompanies his owner at Jesus' birth and other significant events including Jesus' death, resurrection and ascension to heaven. Stock allows readers to experience the miraculous possibilities available for those who accept and embark upon this journey along with Moses and Bullion. It's a story that holds such truth it speaks directly to the heart, and deposits in you an assured hope similar to that found when reading the Bible.

I fell in love with this story before even finishing the first chapter. It's one that stays with you, and leaves you changed forever - for the better.

The Perfect Story for the Entire Family

Ron Stock's Moses, God's Blessed Donkey is a family-friendly read with both a riveting story and beautiful illustrations, chronicling the biblical adventures of Moses and Bullion. Moses, "but a different Moses than the one who probably flashed into your mind" is a blessed donkey who "witnessed the Son of God defeating death, and rising again so that God's people might be forever free." Bullion, "so named because when he was an infant, his mother thought that he would grow to be as strong as a bull and as brave as a lion" is a dreamer who imagines himself as a king, "as rich as King Solomon and as loved as King David."

Told through the eyes of a donkey, the biblical stories become more approachable, comprehensible, and enjoyable for children. Stock's writing style is simultaneously accessible to children and sophisticated enough to entertain parents while reading it, making for many enjoyable nights spent reading as a family. Moses is the perfect witness to impart the lessons and significant moments of Jesus' life to children of all ages. Stock's debut book promises more approachable and fun biblical stories for families, and we can eagerly await his next book which will address the life of Simon Peter's life and the construction of St. Peter's Basilica. Stock's writing is an excellent tool to make your children enthusiastic both about The Bible and reading and provides the perfect activity for quality family time.

An Story Straight From the Heart

Moses, God's Blessed Donkey is entrancing. It is well written, it is beautiful and it is a soft, gentle tale about the love between a boy and his donkey. A very special donkey. A donkey who inserted himself with total confidence into the life of Jesus. Only the donkey seemed to know when the encounters would take place, leaving Bullion, his master, stunned and surprised at the friendship that formed between Moses and the Messiah. A story written with a classic touch and unique style.

EXCELLENT book for both kids and adults!

"Moses: God's Blessed Donkey" by Ron Stock is a touching story that will appeal to both younger and older readers. My son first brought it to me after having liked it so much and once I started reading it, I was charmed by "Moses" the lovable donkey who witnesses all the major events of Jesus and His life from the time he is born till he dies on the cross. I also found myself empathizing with his master Bullion who faces an inner struggle on whether or not to believe Jesus is actually the Messiah. The illustrations are nicely done and they work well with the story. This book is truly heart-warming and I would recommend it to both believers as well as non believers in all age categories. It also would make an excellent gift choice.

A fresh approach to classic stories from the Bible.

Ron Stock enlightens and entertains with his debut novel, Moses, God's Blessed Donkey. Drawing upon the Bible, the author expertly weaves in life lessons and important issues in a most delightful way that Christians of all ages can appreciate. Stock delivers his message and the lessons of Christ from a unique perspective: from the life of a donkey named Moses.

Moses is sent to earth to take part in fulfilling God's divine prophesies regarding Christ. Yosef, the human caretaker of Moses' mother, challenges each of his kids, Jacob, Saul, Sarah, and Bullion to find the perfect name for the newborn donkey. It is Bullion who supplies the name, Moses, after hearing the divine directive, "Suddenly, a summer breeze rose up. In the wind, Bullion heard a whisper, and he knew it was the voice of God. `Moses,' whispered the voice, `name him Moses. Like the leader of old, he will serve as my instrument. He will help deliver my Son to Me.'"

And so it is that Moses and Bullion together take part in each of the major of events of Christ's life, including Jesus' birth, the Sermon on the Mount, and his humble ride into Jerusalem. The pair is there at the clearing of the Temple of merchants, helping Zaccheus, the tax collector, meet Jesus, and finally, Jesus' crucifixion and ascension into heaven.

Ron Stock brings to life the charming characters in this story, including Bullion who experiences a great deal of anxiety when he mourns his father's death, and later when he asks for Ruth's hand in marriage. Bullion, whose life parallels Jesus' life in many ways, is amazed at Jesus' ascension into heaven, at which point he realizes the true identity of Jesus and his purpose on earth.

Moses, God's Blessed Donkey personifies Moses, the donkey, with almost human characteristics that will thoroughly captivate readers. One passage that resonates strongly, portraying Moses' human qualities, appears near the end of the book: "The donkey too seemed to be smiling as the two made their way through the Kidron Valley. As the friends stepped onto the road to Bethlehem, neither looked back at the city they were leaving behind." Also, that they are leaving everything behind to go to Bethlehem reveals that this is a signature moment in history.

Moses, God's Blessed Donkey presents a reaffirmation of the Christian faith as well as a new avenue through which parents can pass down these classic biblical stories for generations. With heartwarming characters and familiar stories, Ron Stock offers a delightful twist on familiar tales that will have readers fondly embracing Moses, the donkey. This is a must read for young and old alike--who will so appreciate this fresh approach to classic stories from the Bible.
