    interesting read

this book was a little slow in places but had a good plot and characters. it reminded me of James Rollins and Steve Berry.

    Not that great ...

This was very simply written. It's kind of good news in a backwards way that anyone has the possiblity of writing and publishing a book if you just have a story, but does not as yet have any type of style or craft as a writer.
I finished reading it in the hope it would get better or more interesting, or that the author's ability would improve, but it didn't.
The "Story" itself could have been made into a great book if a better or a more accomplished author wrote it.
Perhaps if this author keeps creating interesting stories and adds to those stories characters with some depth, or weaving in some sense of "being there" instead of just "describing" what is happening ... then ... future books may be good.
    Thanks,

    A great read

I actually picked up the paperback version at wal-mart just because it seemed interesting. I wasn't disappointed. I have a fascination for archaeology related things & thoroughly ejoyed this one. I found it exciting to say the least. If i find the others i picked up in the same way, i will give them the same review. I bought the one that comes right after this one & look forward to it. Keep up the good work, mr. Becker!
