Creative, clever tips on saving your sanity

This book had some really great, new ideas for approaching motherhood. Most of them were very practical, and I have put them to use... such as using the 31st day in those months which have one for taking care of myself as a mom! Mary's ideas relieve the guilt a mom feels when she 'takes care of herself' and also shows us that that is Christ's intention for ourelf... to be a whole person so we can raise healthy children.

    What a relief!

What a great read! I was so relieved to learn I wasn't the only mom who felt totlly out of my league. The best part is that Mary shared ideas to take care of myself and how that would overflow positively to my family. These ideas are doable, not some lofty goals I'll never achieve. You owe it to yourself to read this one!

Hey Dads...you can (and should) read this too

Looking for something to browse thru one wintry day and found my wife's copy of 'The Mother Load.' Guys...check it out....don't be embarrassed. Should give you some much needed insight on what your kids' mom face. Well-written; an easy read. Mary has a great touch and her sense of humor and love for her primary job of motherhood shine through in her book. Two thumbs way up!

Tired mommy? Pick up this book!

The Mother Load is a timely book written with humor and candor for overtired moms. In it, I realized how little I take time for myself and what a beautiful gift it would be to my children if I did. Mary Byers writes with experience and she conveys her mommy advice with a have-a-cup-of-coffee-with-me-and-relax attitude. Moms in need of refreshment will be challenged and encouraged through the pages of this book. Highly recommended!
