All Music Guide - Jason Ankeny
While since supplanted by the Martha Reeves and the Vandellas entry in the Ultimate Collection series -- which contains all of the 18 tracks found here and appends seven more -- Motown Milestones is still a solid introduction to the group's timeless sound. Everything the casual Reeves fan would need is here, with the first four cuts -- "Nowhere to Run," "Dancing in the Street," "Jimmy Mack" and especially the monumental "Love Is Like a Heat Wave" -- alone worth the price of admission.
