    Quality check please!

To my disappointment the copy of Mourning Dinner Party I bought is plagued by errors. I counted three spelling errors and an incoherent grammar problem before I decided to just delete the book. Most confusingly though was in addition, the name of the twins’ dead brother is Ninamori Tosa in some places and Nanamori Toki in others. Which reading Japanese names is always a source of difficulty since there is usually a lot of variation with the Kanji used. Not having access to the original Japanese, I can only speculate that perhaps if a hiragana reading was also present for the given name, a mistake in the romanization could have easily been made since “¿(sa)” and “¿(ki)” are only visually different by one stroke. How such a glaring difference in English was overlooked in the various proofreading stages though I don't find so understandable. Or why the surname is wrong too. I’m not even sure if I caught all the errors before I gave up on going through it. Who knows where the fault lies between the guild team that worked on the book and the publisher. But hopefully a re-release will be in the works soon.
