    highly recommend

This was a great book for my 7 year old grandson and I to read. He struggles with reading, but enjoyed this book and was able to sound out most of the words he did not know.

Bizarre, both my kids hate it

Im not sure why this book has such high ratings. It was bizarre and made no sense. There wasnt even much of a moral, except for the story of the old lady with the thorn bush, it has no content. It attempts to be sort of like The Gruffalo or My Lucky Day, where dinner outsmarts its catcher, but it's done badly and is painfully long. If it was a hard copy, I would have returned it. Horrible waste of money and time.

    Great Nook Kids version

My 5 yr old really enjoys this book. I love this author and wasn't familiar w/Mouse Soup, but took a chance, and it was well worth it. Hope we'll see more Arnold Lobel 'Read to Me' books!
