That man was Mouse. For ...
That man was Mouse. For stealing something as insignificant as a steel-bladed sheath knife, Mouse became the target of whites in Southern Nevada.
Mouse’s Tank makes compelling reading for anyone interested in the Mojave Desert, the Southern Paiute and the encroachment of the whites into Southern Nevada.

Almost poetic at times in its flow and structure, 'Mouse's Tank' vividly depicts the misunderstandings of natives and encroaching white people in 19th century Southern Nevada. Mike Donahue understands both peoples, their motives for what they do, and beautifully unfolds the tragedy that results. A short and wonderful read. Was this review helpful?
