Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Peg Glisson
Mr. Croc is a friendly but forgetful guy. After eating a big breakfast and brushing his 100 teeth, he goes shopping for his dinner of fish. Unfortunately, once in town, he cannot remember what he was to buy. Was it cupcakes, taffy, cheese puffs, cola? He cheerfully goes about making purchases, flashing his gorgeous smile in each shop and admiring it in shop windows, having near-accidents along the way. When he crashes into Mrs. Poodle, her purchases go flying; but Mr. Croc is able to save the day for her—and him! Part of Picture Window Book's "Read-It" series, this British import is cleverly done. The large text is easy to read, but the layout of text and the black-and-white cartoon-style illustrations make the pages crowded.
