I read each one of these wonderful little books as a child. Today, I called my kindergarten teacher to see if there were any lying around the classroom. They hadn't seen the books since I was there in 1980. I now have a 9 year old. She is going to love this gift.

I'm purchasing these books for my children, an eight and a five year old! I'm so excited! I devoured these books as a child and I've been looking for them for years! I've finally found them!

i read these books to my daughter, now almost 25, and i'm reading them to my grandson right now. the thing i've always liked best is the illustration of these books. it allows me to sometimes ignore the text and personalize the telling of the tale. sometimes the liberties i take are a bit wacky. i heard my 14 yr old son sitting outside the door laughing hysterically as i fractured this fairytale for my grandson. the messages imparted by these small tomes resonates generationally, frankly, maybe we should all read these again and learn how to behave!
