Editorial Reviews

Brian Stableford
Mr. Monkey and Other Sumerian Fables...the oldest known examples of fables.
John Clute
Mr. Monkey assembles beast-fables which may be the earliest extant stories of the form. The scholarship is thorough and secure and the adventurousness is evident.
