the best of the trio

This book is definitely the best of the trio. Josh is clearly the most interesting of the men. In the other two books that precede this one the women are downright irritating. They seem to have no sense of the world around them, but just blithely go on their way with their eccentric habits that, I suppose, are intended to be endearing. A light entertaining read, but if I had to do it again I'd just read this one and skip the others.

MR. NOVEMBER is a read for any month!

The last book by Lori Foster in the Men To The Rescue series from Harlequin is Mr. November, but it¿s a read that is satisfying any month of the year. Josh Marshall is a Lieutenant on the local Fire Department, and his reputation as a Casanova stretches far and wide. While he takes his job very seriously, his time spent on developing a lasting relationship with a woman needs some work. So why is it that when standoffish, but oh so hot Amanda Barker approaches him to pose for a sexy firefighter calendar, he reluctantly agrees in exchange for a meal or two with her? Amanda is the Chairperson of fundraising for the Burn Victims Unit, and though Josh does NOT like the idea of flaunting his body in or out of his Bunker Gear, he¿s intrigued enough by her to take it off in the name of Charity, and a chance to ruffle Ms. Barkers feathers a bit. But Amanda has a painful past. Years before, something happened to her that made men like Josh off limits. Yet her attempts to keep it strictly business get harder every day as Josh¿s charms pull her closer and closer to surrender. He¿s set his sights on her, and unbeknownst to Amanda, it¿s her secretiveness that draws him like a moth to the flame. For every evasive answer, he¿s more determined to find out what makes this woman tick, and maybe in the process, figure out why he has such a need to know. The very thing that drew Josh to such a dangerous job in firefighting is what draws him to Amanda; his need to protect and to help those souls who can¿t help themselves. Will Amanda open up to him, and help her move on from the memories that cause her such anguish? It¿s a wall between them that he¿s determined to break through. The question is...can Josh do it before the fundraiser is over, and Amanda moves on to another project and perhaps out of his life? Ms. Foster has sparked a three-alarm blaze with all three books in this series. Starting the fire with Caught In The Act, then fanning the flames with Treat Her Right, and finally creating a Wildfire with Mr. November, her stories depict men who are true heroes. Mick (Caught In The Act) is a cop, Zack (Treat Her Right) is an EMT/Paramedic, and they are Josh¿s best friends. Josh¿s antics when they were courting THIER loves makes payback sweet as they watch him go from a chasing skirts to chasing the one woman who could quite possibly steal his heart. Ms. Foster¿s male characters are depicted as larger than life, but all are grounded with the bonds of family, friendship, loyalty, and love; all the things that make up the perfect romance hero. One can only hope this author continues to create more characters like Josh Marshall to offer avid readers! Congrats to you, Ms. Foster! Mr. November is a great read from start to finish!

Mr. November's Hot-Blooded Firefighter Caps 'Men to the Rescue' Trilogy

'Mr. November' is the third in Lori Foster's sensual cross-over series that includes the single title 'Caught in the Act' and the October Temptation 'Treat Her Right.' The 'Men to the Rescue' trilogy is very timely as well as appropriately named, as the series features heroes who are larger than life and sexier than hell: a cop, a paramedic, and a firefighter. The protagonist of 'Mr. November' is Josh Marshall, a firefighter and a bonafide hero. The heroine, Amanda Barker, is a woman on a mission -- to get the hunky Josh to pose for a charity calendar. In this battle of wills, she proves quite a challenge to the firefighting ladiesman. On their way to their destiny, these two soulmates smolder off the page. Lori Foster excels at writing incendiary romances from the hero's point-of-view but never fails to create a strong, appealing heroine as well. The second I'm finished reading her latest release, I'm ready for her next book. Thank goodness she's a prolific as well as a great writer!

    Deserves 10 Stars!

Josh Marshall has to be Lori's hottest, sexiest hero so far! When we met him in the previous 2 'Men to the Rescue' books, he was a cocky ladies man always razzing his buddies for falling in love. When he sets out to 'turn-the-tables' on Amanda Barker for harrassing him into posing for her charity fireman calendar he nevers imagines that he'll fall in love with her. But when he does, he goes all out to claim her as his own. Amanda has a traumatic memory from her past and this keeps her from allowing men to get close to her. Josh is incredibly patient in trying to find out what haunts her and to make her realize that they belong together. As all Lori's great books are, this one is filled with endearing love, hot love scenes, great sensual moments, and a story that stays with you long after you put the book down. This truly was her BEST book so far!

    A Great Conclusion

What a good ending for a great series by Lori Foster! I hated to see it end, but it was in no way a disappointment. Firefighter, Josh Marshall, has given in to Amanda Baker by agreeing to appear in her charity calendar. What follows is some battling for the upperhand and struggles of emotion from the past. Will love prevail? Find out yourself with another great read by Foster. You'll discover laughter, great sex :) and all the other elements fans of Lori Foster have come to expect.

Successful Wrap to a Great Trilogy

Heartwrenching. Emotional. Hot. That sums up the last of the ¿Men to the Rescue¿ trilogy from author Lori Foster. And saving the best for last, she delivers a story worthy of the man in the hero¿s shoes.
Josh Marshall, firefighter and man about town, never missed a chance to razz his best friends when the love bug caught them. But when the tables are turned and the hunky fireman falls head over heels for the woman bent on including him in her charity calendar, it¿s a whole different story. He knows that below Amanda Barker¿s frosty exterior is a woman waiting for the right man to awaken her passion and he knows that he¿s the one.
Amanda has a secret. One that keeps her from enjoying life to the fullest, that drives her to help others, that keeps her from getting close to any man. She¿s absolutely sure that Josh Marshall will prove no different. She¿s heard about his past; he¿s known as quite the lady¿s man. But he¿s out to prove her wrong. And with the right woman, we watch Josh grow into a caring, sensitive and very patient lover.
The axiom ¿The bigger they are, the harder they fall¿ is certainly true in Josh¿s case and when it¿s his turn at the altar of love, he doesn¿t like it one bit when his friends, Mick and Zack, razz him the same way he¿d done to them on many occasions. His testiness makes him believable and endearing.
The dialogue¿s snappy and the love scenes are hotter than hot. And Ms. Foster has no equal when it comes to creating friendship, camaraderie and the sometimes wackiness that exists between men who are closer than brothers, bonded together, in this case, through their professions.
In the Dear Reader section in the front of the book, Ms. Foster tells us about her research for the story and how it led to meeting the man who heads up the South Florida Firefighter¿s Calendar Project--firefighterscalendar.com. At this time in our history, when the loss of many of these brave men in New York City is still so vivid in our minds, the poignancy of this tugs especially hard on the heartstrings.

A Great Wrap Up and a Wonderful Tribute to Firefighters

This book is a follow up to Caught in the Act and Treat Her Right. Not only does it give our final hero, a firefighter, his romance, it also brings back some favorite characters. The heroine was strong and never stupid.

    Mr. November

What a great ending for a wonderful series by Lori Foster. Everything that fans of Foster have come to expect is ever present in Mr. November. Josh Marshall is a ladies man and doesn't appear ready to settle down any time soon. Or is he? Enter Amanda Barker. A woman who desperately wants Josh to pose in her charity calender and isn't about to take no for an answer. She has a past that she doesn't want to come to light, can Josh help her move on? Just a wonderful wrap-up from Lori Foster. Loved it!

The Long Awaited Mr. November by Lori Foster

We finally get Josh Marshall's story. You remember him from the other two Men to the Rescue books of Lori's--he's the firefighter. He's the man who loves women. He's the one that gave his friends Mick and Zack (cop and paramedic) a hard time when they fell, and fell hard for their ladies. The difference, in Josh's mind, is that he knew he wanted her almost from the first but had to get past all of her barriers to convince her--Amanda Barker. All Amanda wanted from Josh was for him to pose as Mr. November and the cover for the firefighter calendar she was putting together. She saw no reason he would not do it--after all, the proceeds went to help burn victims. The reader realizes early on that Amanda had something traumatic that had happened to her and Josh has to get her to tell him what it was and help her work through it. Being the typical Lori Foster story, there's lots of laughter and hot love scenes. We got to revisit old friends--Mick, Zack, Del, Wynn, and Dani--which is fun. Bottom line, I'm sure if you got Treat Her Right and Caught in the Act, you already have this book. If you haven't read any of them, rush right to your nearest book seller and grab as fast as you can. Lori always writes entertaining and hot books and you won't regret getting these three books.
