The better to make you mine, my dear…

Poconos Pack, Book 2

When it came down to saving his best friend Ben’s relationship, Steven Hoode didn’t hesitate to trade his Florida timeshare for a month at Red Wolf Lodge. Cold weather isn’t his favorite thing, but hot snow bunnies are, so he plans to make the most of his vacation.

Good karma kicks in when he sees a pretty brunette chatting with the lodge owner. All thoughts of nuptials and nookie take a back seat to the heat that flares between them.

When Graciela “Chela” Mendoza catches sight of the gorgeous man shivering in a red-hooded parka, she realizes why he makes her heart beat faster. He’s her mate. The problem? Steven has no idea his friends are Wolves.

Chela plans to break it to him gently, but when he accidently witnesses the whole Pack shifting, things get a bit…hairy. He bolts, locking himself in his cabin and refusing to listen, even to Ben.

Unless she can get him to see that Wolves are people, too, Chela will lose her mate faster than she can say woof.

Warning: This book contains explicit sex, graphic language, a man packing some nice goodies and a she-Wolf all ready to gobble them up.

    Too short....

Love Dana Marie Bells books but was very dissapointed to purchase this book only to have it listed as 87 pages and then approx 20 of those pages be excerpts from other books. The low rating is due to shortness of story that had great potential to be a full length novel buy felt crammed into a much smaller format. I am beginning to question the validity of the e-format books vs those in traditional print. Once again this review does not reflect on poor writing but rather the brevity of the actual content vs the pg count.

    Too short

Great author and good story (plan), but I think Chela was cheated out of a GREAT story. The only drama/conflict is when Steven discovers that werewolves do exist, and he seems to get over it pretty fast. Hopefully the next book will be worthy of the series. However, other than being too short, I enjoyed what was there.

    short short short

This was not near how she usually writes. I love most of her books but this book is 87 pages and it seems to jump around. I was extremely disappointed.

    Disappointed

Love Dana Marie Bell, disappointed with the story due to length and felt the story wasnt allowed to mature. It felt rushed & forced.

    To rushed

This had the potential of being a great book, instead it was a very poor story. When you go from meetiimng to bed with nothhing in between is when I put the book away and mark author in the don't bother with file.

Love the story, it's cute, short and funny. Really seems like these should be combined into an anthology though, the length doesn't seem to support a separate title. 87 pages is barely novella length, and this story meshes well enough with the previous one in the series that they are better together. It's unfortunate that the quality of the work is overshadowed by the release format.

I didn't like this one as much as I did the rest of the series. I still enjoyed the character's but Steven's reactions seemed so extreme. I would have like more of a love story between the characters than just getting him to accept shifters. Plus his acceptance seems pretty fast once he starts to talk to Chela. I don't know. I wasn't completely happy but I did like seeing the character's from the other books in the series.

I thought the book was a little short. Not much story development. Also I think my book has parts out of order.
Chapter two starts with Chela and Steven already together after ending Chapter 1 with them just being introduced. Then about page 15 it abruptly switches back to them not being together. Since the rest of the book's story goes in order I don't think the author intended a flash-forward flash-back type of thing.

To keep up with the story lines of the characters we've already met in previous books I don't regret getting this one but it could have been more developed and better editing so that pages aren't out of order of the story.

    What a Hoot!!!

I love the shifter characters in Dana Marie Bell's Halle Puma & Poconos Pack world and how they interact with each other & what happens in their lives. Dana always has great humor & some wonderful play on words in these stories (the title of this story for example), but she really outdid herself this time. I laughed, I snickered, I giggled & I gafawed - picture the pack Beta & Luna singing the Christmas song by Alvin & the Chipmonks during a pack meeting, with the aid of helium balloons of course. Great story, great characters, great fun!

    Dana does it again.

Another great read by dana marie bell. Funny, sexy, and endearing both the story and the characters are top notch. I am looking forward to the next in the series and I will continue to devour all new releases from Ms. Bell as soon as they are released. She remains on of my favorite authors!
